The following photo of a train wreck included in the John Labbe collection Washington State Digital Archives appears to show electricity being used to power both trains shown in this mishap.

One train appears to be pulling tank cars (oil?) while the other is hauling logs. Note the electrical power apparatus shown on top of each of the train "engines". They look more like cabooses but you wouldn't find them running into each other going backwards. Most curious. Could they have been used going through a tunnel?
