Yes, there is/was a town called Lebam located on the Half Moon Prairie near Raymond in Central Pacific County. Judging from a postcard mailed from Lebam in 1907, it was a logging town.

The original name of the town was Half Moon after the prairie, but when the post office was established, postal officials objected to the two word name. Town founder Joseph Goodell suggested the name Lebam - the name of his daughter Mabel spelled backwards. Postal officials accepted. Not sure how the town felt. Simpler times.
