Parades were a big deal during the early days of our community, including a gala event regularly held on the 4th of July.

It's fun to see the truck and people all decked out. The background buildings in the above picture are also interesting. I didn't realize there were residences along Railroad Avenue at the time.

These days we have a boat parade around Lake Sawyer on the 4th. Hope to see you there. Will have my camera taking pics and water cannon at my side for protection.
